Minnetonka Engagement Photos | Minnesota Wedding Photographer
Greg & Makayla are a vivacious couple who are truly, madly, in love. Makayla’s mom was my mentor when I taught kindergarten in Minnetonka, so when I heard one of her three beautiful daughters was getting married I couldn’t wait to meet her! I also photographed Makayla’s little sister Greta’s senior photo session a year prior to this engagement, so I knew it would be a blast. Meeting with these two for their wedding consultation confirmed we were a perfect fit in so many ways. Not only is Makayla a teacher and “planner” like me, but this couple was focused on the meaning and commitment behind the wedding day, even moreso than all of the perfect details she meticulously planned. A match made in heaven. :)
We began our session at a secret park with lots of meaning for this couple. This is where Greg proposed! They also shared that this park has beautiful white swans on the water in the springtime. While I was slightly disappointed these swans had migrated by the time our session came around, it was a pretty gorgeous location with the changing fall colors. The second half of our session took place on some family property in Orono, bordering Lake Minnetonka. Sometimes private areas like this are the best: they’re secluded, meaningful, and you don’t have to worry about seeing tons of other couples or photographers milling about. Enjoy these joyful engagement photos!
